We used old belts and hooks to make a display for her jewelry. She has a ton and now it's all there so she can see it as she is getting ready. Her earrings we poked through some braided belts and it looks so cute.<br />

This was the big fat diamond ring in this room. It totally made the room so special. It's out of old fence wood my neighbor gave me. I just hand painted the saying on and then polyed the crap out of it so it would be smooth enough she could lean against to do homework and stuff. Then we just screwed it right to the wall.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

Ok this pic sucks but you get the idea. the curtains were drop cloths. We just hung as is.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhBxHJTImsHCOB1pPK9jzdOm2NWnrYDoQTYpjYRma6YOG4W-npIztJlHN8AdBIVNCAXx4Wbv2EvrPBJYgTBYI4Ot1K-5eCBU8MKr3t7FXu8Z_q28h1LNmiinHl6qe15OtubqbfX1tr6SSs/s1600/DSCN1068.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhBxHJTImsHCOB1pPK9jzdOm2NWnrYDoQTYpjYRma6YOG4W-npIztJlHN8AdBIVNCAXx4Wbv2EvrPBJYgTBYI4Ot1K-5eCBU8MKr3t7FXu8Z_q28h1LNmiinHl6qe15OtubqbfX1tr6SSs/s400/DSCN1068.JPG" width="300" /></a></div>
And last of all the cute bed side lamp. As you can see the bed pretty much takes up this whole wall there really wasn't room for nightstands or lamps. So we just sprayed this bad boy gold, and hung it next to the bed. I love the touch of sparkle it adds and the weird shape. So that's about it. All done in two days and for about $200 in supplies mostly paint. It's so much more grown up and when she flies the nest. It's a calm and soothing backdrop to whatever my parents want this room to be.<br />

Ok It's not that hard, and either is this piece. Honestly a $20 dollar piece of plywood is now a 3ft by 4ft amazing, amazing wall art. Who doesn't have $20 bucks, and a huge empty wall? Well alot of people but if your not one of them then I totally recommend you try this. Are you ready? TADA Major Octopus<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh-q3flLJiX4yXlct0DIduz1ufuQ5reIzLaYDD7DbK5Uo9AT2qGjHbTeH3L8KQJZPXqvHIFMaYhigY3wAXgtxDLb9Gz32l_WHr8VvNTmiGwh0Ya5viY914lTN9RuItuCF1WpivSda8y81w/s1600/DSCN1043.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="480" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh-q3flLJiX4yXlct0DIduz1ufuQ5reIzLaYDD7DbK5Uo9AT2qGjHbTeH3L8KQJZPXqvHIFMaYhigY3wAXgtxDLb9Gz32l_WHr8VvNTmiGwh0Ya5viY914lTN9RuItuCF1WpivSda8y81w/s640/DSCN1043.JPG" width="640" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
So here's how, the how to goes. Take gigantic piece of plywood, I choose to white wash this bad boy first. Then I got my octopus outline printed it on a transparency (which you can just do from your printer) Then I traced this bad boy on like so<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjGkn2-fsyAdH-Wbs9470g65EvNiG8JuAUhDTEtFQt8iN8-Y05NrohpW4qW9QXg3-ynoJkmw8DIZBpa5tLsRCLPK2Nwav-8CS0vtsZEwcMVNrkBuWYtQqeelwKHYTTFnrt0ErSFxrLOud4/s1600/DSCN0982.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="480" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjGkn2-fsyAdH-Wbs9470g65EvNiG8JuAUhDTEtFQt8iN8-Y05NrohpW4qW9QXg3-ynoJkmw8DIZBpa5tLsRCLPK2Nwav-8CS0vtsZEwcMVNrkBuWYtQqeelwKHYTTFnrt0ErSFxrLOud4/s640/DSCN0982.JPG" width="640" /></a><br />
You trace all the lines and mark with an x all the places you want to drill out. This gives the pic an amazing texture and dimension. Then you take your dremmel and drill forever. I mean forever.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh5FwGZJEgkGVjmQcNT5y_RVa-nNTRqSQHTKIbvrDk-jymAIx-PfMo9wKeM6q51z0HjdH-MGkgOtNh17Y9CrSba2U14qtb1RvydnGHF7sbHy8DVQKeuYEhv-lui1yQAOdYgOlsOMkhZrLA/s1600/DSCN1042.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="clear: right; float: right; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-left: 1em;"><br /></a><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEim2wsxDIPMQMqYj-jcnEOPIQ1WRqRxz6QoseSiNAcKy9rH7sCDuAa_TtrzXv4FQMm0IMMQsVOm16whi2HpTKpIdN6wVr4wB1dokcwxlpk8DCkOZLiBA1SuS1qxWMl0L4hzERYyPZn_Plk/s1600/DSCN1004.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="480" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEim2wsxDIPMQMqYj-jcnEOPIQ1WRqRxz6QoseSiNAcKy9rH7sCDuAa_TtrzXv4FQMm0IMMQsVOm16whi2HpTKpIdN6wVr4wB1dokcwxlpk8DCkOZLiBA1SuS1qxWMl0L4hzERYyPZn_Plk/s640/DSCN1004.JPG" width="640" /></a></div>
Like so The attachment on now is just a sanding bit I used to smooth out what I carved away. The drill bit looks a little different. So you carve.......<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgzVLThAnnOvPJLcb7SX2r_P_TmtGSmTGJNXiRNDIxyayrhyphenhyphen0cTmg4eik9c5OnnJoN6TyeQ4dRL4ChlGDyZZ0LoZjk8fWhk-tAeJH3vvU1_LzjndeRzlwLAUlPb3Wzclkdi7MKQNhkuh1w/s1600/DSCN1002.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="480" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgzVLThAnnOvPJLcb7SX2r_P_TmtGSmTGJNXiRNDIxyayrhyphenhyphen0cTmg4eik9c5OnnJoN6TyeQ4dRL4ChlGDyZZ0LoZjk8fWhk-tAeJH3vvU1_LzjndeRzlwLAUlPb3Wzclkdi7MKQNhkuh1w/s640/DSCN1002.JPG" width="640" /></a></div>
And keep carving. Then you take stain whatever color you want. You could start out staining the whole board and then carve out the picture to reveal lighter wood. Or you could stain light and then fill in the pic with darker stain.That's what I did here I filled in the pic with a light oak stain. It just made it pop a little more against the white background. Then I polyurethaned the whole thing and hung it! K one last look it really is so amazing and the pics don't do it justice.<br />
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh5FwGZJEgkGVjmQcNT5y_RVa-nNTRqSQHTKIbvrDk-jymAIx-PfMo9wKeM6q51z0HjdH-MGkgOtNh17Y9CrSba2U14qtb1RvydnGHF7sbHy8DVQKeuYEhv-lui1yQAOdYgOlsOMkhZrLA/s1600/DSCN1042.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="clear: right; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-left: 1em;"><img border="0" height="480" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh5FwGZJEgkGVjmQcNT5y_RVa-nNTRqSQHTKIbvrDk-jymAIx-PfMo9wKeM6q51z0HjdH-MGkgOtNh17Y9CrSba2U14qtb1RvydnGHF7sbHy8DVQKeuYEhv-lui1yQAOdYgOlsOMkhZrLA/s640/DSCN1042.JPG" width="640" /></a><br />

Now it's so great I hope your ready for this.............. I used Killz to prime and please take your time on this step a better prime coat makes everything turn out better. So I did two coats of primer. Then Krylon High gloss white for the dresser and the knobs. The drawers are also Krylon pumpkin orange, ocean breeze blue, and ivy leaf. He's so adorable.<br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjEluc-aGbQK7HBi5L47U8463dFR_mPkHtNgTD6Q_sY1tD1BaAsFWS8NWKwzbuIwlkTRHhIfLVhs-scXNRbCMjycaz3Pzc0xZmiKbEgiAjfiWGP2azeRPn5v6QSMVNT7rr6L7wJSoQxOHw/s1600/DSCN1007.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="408" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjEluc-aGbQK7HBi5L47U8463dFR_mPkHtNgTD6Q_sY1tD1BaAsFWS8NWKwzbuIwlkTRHhIfLVhs-scXNRbCMjycaz3Pzc0xZmiKbEgiAjfiWGP2azeRPn5v6QSMVNT7rr6L7wJSoQxOHw/s640/DSCN1007.JPG" width="640" /></a></div><br /> The knobs are left overs form <a href="http://beerbudgetdecor.blogspot.com/2011/11/awesome-orange-dresser-for-spring.html">My orange dresser project</a>. I was so excited! Haha when your a DIYer you get excited for wierd stuff. In our house we don't have a cute drawer or closet to hide our garbage. It's out in the open. Our white plastic bin was so gross. It was like the plastic absorbed every stain dirt or food smell. I was sick of it and ready for something cute. Our local hardware store had the trash cans out front and we drove by a small metal shiny one caught my eye. An idea was born trashcan meet spray paint. How easy is that. <br /><br /><br /><center><a href='http://photo.blogpressapp.com/show_photo.php?p=12/03/06/838.jpg'><img src='http://photo.blogpressapp.com/photos/12/03/06/s_838.jpg' border='0' width='281' height='177' style='margin:5px'></a></center><br />This is where it lives now in my house. I primed with killz and a few coats of krylon banner red and done. So cute i love it. It also wipes clean and doesn't hold the smell even when you've taken the bag out.<br /><br /><br /><br /><center><a href='http://photo.blogpressapp.com/show_photo.php?p=12/03/06/839.jpg'><img src='http://photo.blogpressapp.com/photos/12/03/06/s_839.jpg' border='0' width='210' height='281' style='margin:5px'></a></center><br />Tada so wished I would have done this sooner. Think of all the uses for this. A dirty hamper for a boys room. Or a place to store outside toys. So many possibilities.<br />strbrtehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13442294748161519476noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4571398972854202919.post-1596692175410308912012-02-28T16:38:00.012-08:002012-03-03T09:30:52.408-08:00Liebster Award!<span class="Apple-style-span" style="color: rgb(51, 51, 51); line-height: 20px; font-family:Arial, Tahoma, Helvetica, FreeSans, sans-serif;font-size:100%;" ><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center; "><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center; "> My super talented friend Lindsay at <a href="http://linzsews.blogspot.com/"><span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_0">Linz</span> Sews</a> gave me this award. Things that i think just represent me and my style so well. Things that <span class="blsp-spelling-corrected" id="SPELLING_ERROR_0">every time</span> I see make me smile and feel happy. My kitchen <span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_1">chandy</span> is one of those things. I did splurge a little for this bad boy. It was like $130 with shipping. I looked and looked to find a used one but nothing was close to what I wanted or what I was willing to pay. Then I <span class="blsp-spelling-corrected" id="SPELLING_ERROR_2">looked</span> on Overstock. They have an amazing selection and great prices. My sparkling beauty looked like this<div><div><br /></div></div><div><span class="Apple-style-span" style="color: rgb(0, 0, 238); -webkit-text-decorations-in-effect: underline; "><img src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiNLbSSGQ7eARVeFQjvWFAWMt-rE3I-NDUel4yf41rvwyq-q7RyuYbvFrC6JxKTefEjCjWCOOyy6wi3_qACe2hg0eprXDvEEkxmIpvQccfiwO8XlcS_f9dLaCQsMrREx05mB8566zPtbyw/s400/L11883976.jpg" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5709883332656638562" style="display: block; margin-top: 0px; margin-right: auto; margin-bottom: 10px; margin-left: auto; text-align: center; cursor: pointer; width: 400px; height: 400px; "></span></div><div>Pretty huh! The price tag was really great for a piece of this size and quality. You might think I'm crazy for what I did to it. It was from a blog <a href="http://dearlillieblog.blogspot.com/2011/09/little-ruler-project-and-our-give.html">Dear Lillie</a>. Her's looked like this.<span class="Apple-style-span" style="color: rgb(0, 0, 238); -webkit-text-decorations-in-effect: underline; "><img src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiqwdYz2itikr0erWP1n1YSqbZArRmf6NB9PePFXfUaJs2qs5SHR8UO3N8a-pSAab3F3Fp0zpepyjLrRjn59oFCGOuCkNH9jlxpbcgxMnPg8PnXfUaE0JCKhmQrwkUqmQwGrjREgOaqLB0/s400/gDSC_0406.jpg" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5693171148410955538" style="display: block; margin-top: 0px; margin-right: auto; margin-bottom: 10px; margin-left: auto; text-align: center; cursor: pointer; width: 267px; height: 400px; " /></span><div><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: 'times new roman'; font-size: medium; ">I loved the idea of her growth chart one you can leave out in the open and it's so cute. So when my friend gave me some of the wood from a fence they tore down I knew that this was the perfect project for it. I just measured my baseboards and then marked my lines from there adding the 5 inches to make up for the baseboards. I just used craft paint and marked my lines. I didn't want mine to be exactly like hers because my board was old and worn so I didn't want it to look like a perfect ruler. I printed the numbers out on my computer and traced them on the board and just painted them on. So easy. I used white paint cause the old wood was dark and weathered and I wanted to mark my kids heights with a plain old sharpie. It needed the contrast. So here it is I just love it and I hung it in my kitchen.</span></div><div><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family:'times new roman';font-size:100%;"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="color: rgb(0, 0, 238); -webkit-text-decorations-in-effect: underline; font-family:Georgia, serif;font-size:16px;"><br /></span></span></div><div><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family:'times new roman';font-size:100%;"><span class="Apple-style-span" style=" -webkit-text-decorations-in-effect: underline; font-family:Georgia, serif;"><span class="Apple-style-span" style=" ;font-size:-webkit-xxx-large;color:#0000ee;"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="margin-right: auto; margin-left: auto;"><img src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhsNiCQM4leOMsQVz7TNvF49qL65TeRkW2s7sOds537EGHZ_P_E0vQea3pPbTvh3hJl8DIkYm56aPzAbJsn_N49X2T-cuTHsNPdGNVUC5zcdSAY0d9ju5igoLVRnl0WbxnJF-mmC2zh5l0/s400/DSCN0647.JPG" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5693156518270164722" style="display: block; margin-top: 0px; margin-right: auto; margin-bottom: 10px; margin-left: auto; text-align: center; cursor: pointer; width: 135px; height: 400px; " /></span></span>I sprayed it with a clear coat hoping it would make it easier to write on. I don't really know if it helped but the numbers sure look crisp. This project didn't cost me a dime. So this year I wanted to change it up so it would match the decor of our house. So we are going with a black and white theme. I also wanted to try to do this with only stuff I had on hand so I wouldn't have to spend any money especially when things are so tight around the holidays. So I saw on pinterest all these ruffled no sew tree skirts that everyone has been making and thought perfect I could do that. I already had an old tree skirt to use as my base.</div><span class="Apple-style-span" style="color: rgb(0, 0, 238); -webkit-text-decorations-in-effect: underline; "><img src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgGvBv35z9v5gAheuzhJNSep0MHMRkhDZ_5Ny8U3XS260wvl-9g1WRoq4YnkkopWCT7FDOUdCXIgQSrWICD409zSvQfeOvAk8gcNqMy7PC4g6t-X8YRjcn2QdXHE7M8kkZr40u4QQ5PDLI/s400/DSCN0671.JPG" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5681233324601590578" style="display: block; margin-top: 0px; margin-right: auto; margin-bottom: 10px; margin-left: auto; text-align: center; cursor: pointer; width: 400px; height: 300px; " /></span><div>Then I had left over fabric from my living room curtains. The white is just a light cotton I use for curtain liners.</div><div><span class="Apple-style-span" style="color: rgb(0, 0, 238); -webkit-text-decorations-in-effect: underline; "><img src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiBo7wLskBTVgf7KFHkCE2WSzsMnOV3OklObdii8AJFiQYBcQtupAQyV-fH_EL-KsloeJYIibLrk8seEV6aPgivhfj04PYuHJTPk7xlFpiRF39UtYs5snE-axLZ6riJEkVg6Esm7WixGJY/s400/DSCN0673.JPG" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5681233331639999538" style="display: block; margin-top: 0px; margin-right: auto; margin-bottom: 10px; margin-left: auto; text-align: center; cursor: pointer; width: 400px; height: 300px; " /></span></div><div><span class="Apple-style-span" style="-webkit-text-decorations-in-effect: underline; ">So I cut strips about four inches thick and as long as my fabric was. I put on a movie and sat my happy butt down with my glue gun and a cookie sheet on top of the ottoman for a table. I started with the black and white fabric first. I just ran a thin line of glue and then just stuck on the fabric bunching it every couple of inches to get the ruffled look.</span></div><div><span class="Apple-style-span" style="-webkit-text-decorations-in-effect: underline; "><br /></span></div><div><span class="Apple-style-span" style="-webkit-text-decorations-in-effect: underline; "><span class="Apple-style-span" style="color: rgb(0, 0, 238); -webkit-text-decorations-in-effect: underline; "><img src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhk-StaUOtX0dtfwq8bkIw16TjnJwW-265rYhFN5Hq9C0IkI4Rw_InAqdRN6GRS3kGZ74jmlQVG6F7dl3gG09vi_X-5pcEM0PlME8BJYVXrgcVFUiK4EVMCOWU8OAd8gp7d30pAT5rzvQ0/s400/DSCN0675.JPG" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5681233335098842434" style="display: block; margin-top: 0px; margin-right: auto; margin-bottom: 10px; margin-left: auto; text-align: center; cursor: pointer; width: 400px; height: 300px; " /></span></span></div><div>The next row I used the white cotton. I showed my hubby when he got home and he said, "You made that for yourself?", looking all doubtful and I laughed and told him no it's for the tree Duh! He liked it then. I can't wait to see how it all comes together. I still have a few more things to complete the black and white transformation but so far I'm super happy.</div>strbrtehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13442294748161519476noreply@blogger.com3tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4571398972854202919.post-19196659783065015152011-11-18T12:48:00.000-08:002011-11-18T12:56:42.024-08:00Potty Mouth!<div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgyOvkvmDOOT0tW0L7sPkM4OCqqccSNCIqHptsrN8RD3UPnFAjr97mVe48BV2Ofpenpn8iFc1ON4y4s_nu-ko6LCqg9b0XPJ-zfpQFN2DV5KI9lEPp2XLkN3EjBO4REH7LWziGW3TA4bdE/s1600/DSCN0398.JPG" onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}"></a>Ok this really isn't about swearing but it is about the potty. We have three boys in one bathroom. So you can imagine what sort of problem we have in that space. A pretty yellow coating over everything most of the time. YUCK! So to help remind my children of the importance of good aim I strategically placed a little saying I made up. I just cut it out on my silhouette.<span class="Apple-style-span" style="color: rgb(0, 0, 238); -webkit-text-decorations-in-effect: underline; "><img src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgyOvkvmDOOT0tW0L7sPkM4OCqqccSNCIqHptsrN8RD3UPnFAjr97mVe48BV2Ofpenpn8iFc1ON4y4s_nu-ko6LCqg9b0XPJ-zfpQFN2DV5KI9lEPp2XLkN3EjBO4REH7LWziGW3TA4bdE/s400/DSCN0398.JPG" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5676441487299121426" style="display: block; margin-top: 0px; margin-right: auto; margin-bottom: 10px; margin-left: auto; text-align: center; cursor: pointer; width: 400px; height: 300px; " /></span><div>It's not a very good pic because we have no windows in this bathroom. and the walls are dark brown. But you get the jest of it. Has it improved their aim? NO! But it is funny so i guess I get a few points for trying.</div>strbrtehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13442294748161519476noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4571398972854202919.post-39443401368983404842011-11-05T20:19:00.000-07:002011-11-05T20:37:12.298-07:00Happy kicked the crap out of cancer day!<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiUStqJo521WF_n0kJDlM66uqStAUmY0ItcKxurmFGm6hUwmfWTt07twOZdhguROKAVnVoFHQ033slPXrXmnj5bFHRITPch67-5aiKcv4l3NNzvrOYiakogpqDZikYTNP-Y0RT782_fVBc/s1600/DSCN0589.JPG" onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}"></a><div style="text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjt4cLajncqwJ68p7pZFsVQm8MrkCKTBCNHFd8zkyfqrNUgvuFyFfTYBzosIxiAzsIXRswYOeuKkOSa8_peC-rjgbOxeliE7rxlPIRAYdlbBOflKftxoD2Ww3bXUR09pzYKcF9fCdy1k5w/s1600/SN151563.JPG" onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}"><br /></a></div>Yesterday was my year mark of being cancer free. On Nov. 4th last year I had my last chemo treatment. I was a hot mess. I had been diagnosed with chorio carcinoma in April of last year I endured 7 months of weekly chemo treatments. By the end I was weak not only physically but mentally and emotionally. Here I am at the end of the treatments<span class="Apple-style-span" style="color: rgb(0, 0, 238); -webkit-text-decorations-in-effect: underline; "><img src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjt4cLajncqwJ68p7pZFsVQm8MrkCKTBCNHFd8zkyfqrNUgvuFyFfTYBzosIxiAzsIXRswYOeuKkOSa8_peC-rjgbOxeliE7rxlPIRAYdlbBOflKftxoD2Ww3bXUR09pzYKcF9fCdy1k5w/s400/SN151563.JPG" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5671719293930467634" style="display: block; margin-top: 0px; margin-right: auto; margin-bottom: 10px; margin-left: auto; text-align: center; cursor: pointer; width: 400px; height: 300px; " /></span><div>I know scary right I defiantly looked more dead then alive and kinda felt that way too. But I'm blessed cause I'm alive the cancer is gone. A year later I'm healthy, I'm happy, I'm busy. So basically I'm back to me and I love and appreciate everyday that I get to be me. So here a year later I look like this</div><div><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiUStqJo521WF_n0kJDlM66uqStAUmY0ItcKxurmFGm6hUwmfWTt07twOZdhguROKAVnVoFHQ033slPXrXmnj5bFHRITPch67-5aiKcv4l3NNzvrOYiakogpqDZikYTNP-Y0RT782_fVBc/s1600/DSCN0589.JPG" onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}"><img src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiUStqJo521WF_n0kJDlM66uqStAUmY0ItcKxurmFGm6hUwmfWTt07twOZdhguROKAVnVoFHQ033slPXrXmnj5bFHRITPch67-5aiKcv4l3NNzvrOYiakogpqDZikYTNP-Y0RT782_fVBc/s400/DSCN0589.JPG" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5671719297477097186" style="display: block; margin-top: 0px; margin-right: auto; margin-bottom: 10px; margin-left: auto; text-align: center; cursor: pointer; width: 400px; height: 300px; " /></a></div><div>No longer sickly and with the man I love. With all we've been through this last year we are still the best of friends. I watched <span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_0">youtube</span> videos and got the biggest sledge hammer but in the end I just took a power saw and cut the crap out of it. When I was finished I ended up with this<div><div><br /></div></div><div><span class="Apple-style-span" style="color: rgb(0, 0, 238); -webkit-text-decorations-in-effect: underline; "><img src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjPAujRDEif880sMzQUddMsjioEZTwuipyvytlY3ZPgVB-lB3Zta-pcONhlvv-zAOuubmKqa6TOVjwqLyNYGDql9znlv3RLjhXWbbndNumBTlDmOpueIUN1YFgOlLokRGBa1HBwTZz-vq8/s400/DSCN0460.JPG" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5670068898234036002" style="display: block; margin-top: 0px; margin-right: auto; margin-bottom: 10px; margin-left: auto; text-align: center; cursor: pointer; width: 400px; height: 300px; " /></span></div><div><span class="Apple-style-span" style="-webkit-text-decorations-in-effect: underline; ">So I patch worked the pieces together to get the size and shape I wanted. It is a big statement piece though and you can't beat that. So my supplies for this project are a round mirror that I got for free toilet paper rolls and craft paint. You could use any round mirror they sell them everywhere and I find them at thrift stores all the time.<span class="Apple-style-span" style="color: rgb(0, 0, 238); -webkit-text-decorations-in-effect: underline; "><img src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgW_E_a1aRBLVXeHqxFz0PbGXul-q-mG4tbtcbG_KynHKE7kLUbaeZ3tnfa8hK3tuyewrN0lR9EhDWA581BQl8SGePoxb_HAw1_FCtKfp4MnKJZmJpw5yhl5a1_f6mF1c6xYQWbJum6Gus/s400/DSCN0370.JPG" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5652317224940948194" style="display: block; margin-top: 0px; margin-right: auto; margin-bottom: 10px; margin-left: auto; text-align: center; cursor: pointer; width: 400px; height: 300px; " /></span><div>So I painted the frame of my mirror black and smashed the tp rolls flat and then cut them up to make leaf shapes. I then painted each leaf shape with the black paint. Using my hot glue gun I glued the leaves around the mirror then glued leaves in each space till I got it as round as I wanted. The results are amazing most people think it's metal till I tell them it's TP rolls. So here she is!</div><div><span class="Apple-style-span" style="color: rgb(0, 0, 238); -webkit-text-decorations-in-effect: underline; "><img src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEic7qboZxsN882NrACrwo6uRQP4ymrXOUXQK23T2o2MyN-u2t094P8fnwHe2h0LKuXLmqbJLu73FTEe3TlYjAG61DSj1MBEKoqsqVkqsswPcg27IcAzaK1m31gIGiesXNodkvT_3IlzHTE/s400/DSCN0379.JPG" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5652317227158134018" style="display: block; margin-top: 0px; margin-right: auto; margin-bottom: 10px; margin-left: auto; text-align: center; cursor: pointer; width: 400px; height: 300px; " /></span></div><div>I just love her and at zero cost it's really a project anyone can do . And I got some stuff done! I'm so excited to show you guys how cute it all turned out.<br /><br /><center><a href='http://blogpress.w18.net/photos/11/01/29/2992.jpg'><img src='http://blogpress.w18.net/photos/11/01/29/s_2992.jpg' border='0' width='281' height='210' style='margin:5px'></a></center><br />This is how the wall at the end of my hallway looked. I actually did this project earlier this week.<br /><br /><br /><center><a href='http://blogpress.w18.net/photos/11/01/29/2993.jpg'><img src='http://blogpress.w18.net/photos/11/01/29/s_2993.jpg' border='0' width='281' height='210' style='margin:5px'></a></center><br /><br />And this is how it turned out. I painted the frames the old door knocker, and added the fabric. I felt a little guilty about getting rid of the spiritual things my mom had gotten me but I love how it turned out.<br /><br /><br /><center><a href='http://blogpress.w18.net/photos/11/01/29/2994.jpg'><img src='http://blogpress.w18.net/photos/11/01/29/s_2994.jpg' border='0' width='281' height='210' style='margin:5px'></a></center><br />This was my project today. It's been a total eye sore and I wanted to get rid of it but not anymore.<br /><br /><br /><center><a href='http://blogpress.w18.net/photos/11/01/29/2995.jpg'><img src='http://blogpress.w18.net/photos/11/01/29/s_2995.jpg' border='0' width='281' height='210' style='margin:5px'></a></center><br />Primed.<br /><br /><br /><center><a href='http://blogpress.w18.net/photos/11/01/29/2996.jpg'><img src='http://blogpress.w18.net/photos/11/01/29/s_2996.jpg' border='0' width='281' height='210' style='margin:5px'></a></center><br />Painted.<br /><br /><br /><center><a href='http://blogpress.w18.net/photos/11/01/29/2997.jpg'><img src='http://blogpress.w18.net/photos/11/01/29/s_2997.jpg' border='0' width='281' height='210' style='margin:5px'></a></center><br />Glazed! And yes those are branches off my tree that I spray painted. I also redid that heart thing today. I just loved how this turned out for about fifteen dollars worth of spray paint I have a whole new corner in my house I love!
